Well after a year dabbling in the dirty non rotary area i\'m soon to be back in an FC Turbo 2! I sold my Jag XJR last week and couldn\'t wait any longer, just bought a gunmetal grey FC with 20k on an RX Motors rebuilt engine :)

yeah, i only paid a grand for it - looking forward to its arrival :)

ramirez

She arrived today :)

Drives really nice.. lovely clean oil, idles smooth and fires up cold or warm.

One of the funny things is that it has the *exactly* same smell as my old TII which Ade has  :)

The only issue is that it feels like the clutch is slipping in 3rd and 4th gear - Is that most likely a worn clutch or could it be a master / slave cylinder failure?

Oooh, looks niiiice... What are your plans?

sort clutch, polish, enjoy :)

although i\'m highly likely to be trading my GTR in against an FD next week so if that pans out the FC may be bumped for sale instead!

Yeah I think so too, even if it needs a new clutch!

Lovely little motor.

ramirez

OK so I took her out for a spin and shes not showing any signs of a slipping clutch anymore :S

weird!

properly booted it in 3rd and 4th and its holding tight..... maybe it just needed a good razz to bed an old clutch back in?

If its slipped before id get it done anyway, when mine went it was so bad it scored the flywheel with the rivets, the car was still drivable just hard to get into 1st and reverse and then it started slipping. I cleaned the flywheel best i could (with emery cloth:o) but it probably wont hold up too long before i have to get a new clutch and flywheel or at least get it resurfaced.
Good luck :Thumbs-up
