Hi all,

I\'m just about to invest in some coilovers (not too sure yet, but maybe Tein Type Flex with pillowball upper mounts).

My question is - once I have it all stripped down, ready for install - is there anything else I should purchase to replace at the same time. What are the "usual suspects" when it comes to components - bushes, bump stops, and all that jazz.

Whilst doing coilovers, does anyone recommend anything else at the same time - I admit I don\'t know enough about it, but I see articles on trailing arms, lower strut braces, yada yada.

I don\'t want to pull it all apart, then find out I need something I don\'t have.

Any advice as to what to prepare for would be most useful....

Cheers, Craig

My first and only piece of advice on this is to make sure you remove the ABS sensors from the hubs properly, they can be tricky to get out, but a little gentle persausion and some wd40 should sort it. IF these arn\'t removed then when trying to remove and fit the struts you may end up stretching the sensor leads causing them to fail.

Good luck with it and I\'m sure others will give you more general info.

Regards,

Paul:)

Suspension arm bushes are a common replacement item which you may want to change while you are in the area. Common sign is clunking. Or, grab the wheels while the vehicle is in the air and shake them, you\'ll feel a lot of movement if they are gone.

Thanks guys - will keep an eye out.

The car is feeling a bit "wallowy" at the moment, appears to dive quite a lot at the back end when accelerating. This is one of the reasons (apart from the current monster truck look) that I am going for coilovers.

Any other advice ?
