Quote from: BlitzBoy;737578you would never run 10:1 ratio lol.
I run 100:1, so 100ml to every 10 litres of fuel

Thanx.. I m doing the same as well..

I use a Link G4 plug in ECU board.......

+ It runs OMP and is as capable as bigger names, at a Microtech price.

- It blew up one of my engines (and many around the world) ! but Link paid me $7500 to fix it, while taking a year or more to work out their programming problems (exact same issue on ViPEC *which is a just a restickered Link, using exact same software with same bugs LOL!!!), they also ....ed up a firmware update which was not compatible with sequential ignition (almost ....ed another engine!) ............. all these .... ups aside and some other anomolies they are not a bad option. :Ladys-man

VERY VERY complex to fully set up, like all ECU\'s of this ability.

If you want simple

Microtech
then
Apexi PFC (OMP control)

^ hands down best options for pump n dump shop fitters or DIY\'ers

Microtech LT-8, purely because it\'s second hand at a good price,it\'s already proven on a car the same spec as what I\'m building and looking at the wiring schematic is an absolute piece of trousers to work with.

Do you know if the Vi-PEC has had the same software/firmware upgrades as the Link?

Thanks :wave

It is 100% the same, I was banned of EFI university for highlighting this!

Every single firmware update if you trace the history is hyped up and talked about on the ViPEC forum one day after it is released by Link :)

Version 4.4.1 was released to me to resolve the engine blow up characteristics on CDI ignitions which I personally identified some 12 months earlier, this EXACT firmware (aux channel fault and all was released by ViPEC LOL!) then 3 days later when I found another fault! 4.4.3 was released by Link, again duely copied by ViPEC and the SNAKE Ray Hall ;)

They come out of the same place in New Zealand :) one has a blue sticker one has a read sticker, they are identical..... faults n all !

Buy a Link ;) least then you are dealing with the manufacturer and not a reseller, and if your engine does blow up you will get money out of them, no one got any money out of ViPEC for the known ECU related defects to my knowledge ;) where as I know of many who went through the same thing I did directly with Link.

I still do not use the full racing spec CDI system I developed, I\'ll wait till someone else proves that this ECU works with it before I put myself through that heart ache again with this ECU. Though it seems to be fine on stock Mazda ignition equipped with the HKS DLI.

FYI

ViPEC and snake man Ray Hall is a sham.

Ray Hall is just a single man running out of a tin shed in Queensland! no manufacturing goes on there, just hype over the power of forums and the internet!

His history is he was once employed by Autronic in Australia (real great company run by Richard Aubert), for many years Ray Hall convinced Richard he was the man, and over the course of time Ray Hall prostituted the dealer network and destroyed the Autronic brand with his poor business manner and even worse attitudes... He was given the SACK! once he was worked out by Richard to be a liability rather than any kind of asset!

Ray being the vindictive little snake he is then tried to slander Autronic and to this day still does through his own ViPEC forum! he stole allot of proprietry information and claimed it to be his own. He as a refuge somehow convinced Link of his immense stature and took some of this information with him for them to incorporate into their ECU offering and also dreamed up the ViPEC restiker brand cause no one really wanted to buy a Linkk based off their prior ECU offerings which were regarded as a joke basically. The going joke was Link = Stink.......

So ViPEC was born, I must say with alot of hype and BS!!! Typical Ray Hall style, claiming this new ECU made in Queensland (in a tin shed!) LOL would reinvent the world etc etc etc.............. then smart people worked it all out and joined the dots, and the truth came out about why he got fired from Autronic. To make it even worse he then proceeeded to try to claim Autronic were bad with ign timing control LOL ***Ironic cause Link have paid out untold thousands of dollars to rotary people for blow up engines due to exactly this problem!!!*** I suppose that is KARMA coming back to them for associating them selves with Ray Hall and his proven .... talk :rollin

Buy a Link if you want the G4 platform of ECU, least you will get compensated if it destroyes your engine, its where they are made, and all the software is written and you can talk to the engineers directly and not a middle man in Ray Hall working out of a flooded tine shed in QLD :wave

Prof

Has anyone had experience of VEMS ECU on a rotary?

Early days I think, but I thought Royal was looking at this on his yellow FD?

re japi

Old topic but, has they fixed problems with Vipec and Link?
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.
