Removal of stock spoiler

Am very tempted to remove the standard spoiler on my 92 FD as prefer the look without tbh, is there anything i need to bare in mind? Im assuming there will be a few small holes that i can fill with some grommits temporarily.

Anyone had any problems that i may not have considered?

Very simple job, a total of 8 holes will be lift in the bootlid. 2 outer screws on each side on the others are hidden under the big plastic interior panal on the boot lid which is just held in with sping clips.
