I\'m gonna be using a Microtech LT-8 ECU and the only thing that I am not sure about on the wiring side of things is that looking at the wiring diagram it only has one input for throttle position whereas an S5 (if I am correct) has two. Do I utilise the auxillary input in some way or do they get paired up somehow?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Here\'s a link to the diagram if required.

On the S5, there\'s narrow and full range TPS - the full range gives a 0-100% mapping, whereas the narrow range only covers the first part of the range and interacts with the stock ECU to control some of the solenoids - I\'d just use the full range one - when you look at throttle operating, it will be obvious which is which, as the throttle cam comes completely off the narrow range - leaving it at the end of its range.  The full range is the one that\'s always in contact with the cam.

Ok thanks Dave-that sounds good. Just to clarify you mean the one top right in the picture?

Arh - you appear to be missing something....

where the shiny bit is - that was where the TPS was mounted up I think.

I tried to find a good picture of the TPS - but the only pic I can find - they are mostly obscured by the alternator.

These are the TPS pots:

Aah so that\'s what should be on that shiny spot.

I\'ve just got an LT-8 so when I start fitting it I will try my best to help you out if you run into anymore problems
