Hi Guys,
My name is Keith. I\'ve been registered on this forum from \'08 and have been poping in and out since then.

Im from the Cayman Islands, and I\'ve been doing the rotary thing since 2001.

I\'ve just moved to the UK in October to study Engineering. I\'ve finally gotten some free time and would like to introduce myself.

I have a 2000 Single turbo rx7 with lots of goodies back home sitting down, waiting for me to return for summer vacation.

I can list what she has if you guys are interested.

here is a picture at the track:

Thats all that I can remember at this time. lol

The car is currently untuned as I didnt have enough time to have Steve Kan come and retune it for me. The motor is broken in, and Im hoping to have him back when I go back to cayman on vacation.

The car has gone through a ton of changes and I think this is the one I\'ve decided to leave it with.

Here is a pic of a earlier combination mock up: (this combo blew due to a faulty trigger signal)

This is what ceramic seal carnage looks like. lol( I was running NRS ceramic seals. I do not have them in the new motor but will put them back in once I am happy with my setup. Those seals are awesome and I stand behind them)

New Engine and turbo Mock up a few months back:

The car makes positive pressure now by 3600-3800rpm untuned. Thats alot better than the 4500-5000 I was getting with the older turbo, however, anything after 5k was a blurr. lol
I know I wont get the top end grunt from the new turbo but it will be an overall quicker car if you get what Im saying.

Hope you like the build up guys! :3gears-rh

Hi Keith,

Nice car mate and very detailed info

I liked it...what sort of a power you are thinking to get out of it???

Thanks Syed. My aim is  to max out between 550-600 whp. The limiting factor to my power goals with this combo is the turbo(which was deliberate). Everything else (engine, intercooler and fuel system) was setup up to be able to deliver 7-800+ whp if needed .

There are other things in my build that would and will need to change/upgrade too though.. axles, transmission etc.. Im on the edge of hurting these things while drag racing.

My FD3S From Rome, Forever work in progress :mmmm

mx1311

the limiting factor will be the uim for 600whp you\'ll get a massive power and torque drop

(thats flywheel, 599.9 whp on an s475 and pumpfuel)

welcome btw

my fiancee has been offered a job in the caymens and i\'d have went in tow, lived the life and took my rotary with me, she is still on the fence about taking it though

is it true they shut the airport to run drags?

Indian

Hey mx1311, thanks for the input.
That\'s pretty cool she has a job offer from cayman. I would do a little bit of research on Cayman as a lot of things are happening there.. good and bad.. Read up on some of the news... This is a good site to follow : http://www.caymannewsservice.com.

Make sure she\'s getting paid well as Cayman is quite expensive, especially now that duties and fuel costs went up again.

They don\'t close off the airport for drag and never did. lol. although there are one and two stories out there of people racing on it.

I honed out the uim intake and hopefully it will suffice. At the end of the day, we don\'t have a dyno, soooooo who knows what your making at the end of the day. lol

There is a 1/8 strip there that is so so and they do dexterity runs at another venue.
