Hello guys!!!

I have a question for you: I\'m purchasing a new shortblock engine for my car (mine\'s dead because an oil pump failure...)
I found an engine coming from an auto FD, and mine is a manual one: will be any problems with fitting engine on gearbox?

Thanks and Happy New Year from Italy!!! :Party:Party:Party

Hi Mate,

I dont see any problem as you will take all those necessary components away from your old engine and place them on your new engine, only thing I can think of is that on the eccentric shaft of the new engine you would not have a gear box bearing (I think this is what it is called) it actually sits in the middle of eccentric shaft\'s gear box end. Get that bearing and make sure you push that bearing in the eccentric shaft gearbox end properly...I think of that at the moment..other than that I dont think that you would need anything els, however there are very experienced people on this forum wait for their response as well.

As above, you need to buy a pilot bearing for the eshaft
And irc you use one less mounting bolt and have to make a small blanking plate that goes infront of the starter position. None of which is a problem and easy to do.
