Hi guys,

thought id drop a post and say hi!

just picked up my 1992 FD3 in red this morning. Was imported in 1997 and had one owner from 1997 till me now in 2010, pretty much perfect main dealer mazda service history too. Rebuild by rotechnics in 2001 at 50,000 miles now at 76,000 approx. Completely standard no mods.

Ill try get some pics up soon, am excited to be part of the rotary clan and cant wait to get fully up and running on the road (sort out tax and insurance).

may as well ask a question whilst im here, number plate is  "J" plate, but car was registered in UK in 1997. Would my personalised numberplate starting with "P" be allowed on the car, or would they class that as making it look younger?

Also a shout out to anyone near the sunbury / staines / walton area as this is where i am, would be good to get to know local owners for meets and sharing knowledge.

cheers guys ! :)

Plate reverts to date of manufacture :(   Sounds a rare find with just the one owner though! Oh yes, welcome, this is a great site fair play  :Thumbs-up

Welcome to MRC :Thumbsup!

You have a rare FD in that it\'s a stock car, I had a magazine want a good stock car a while back and it was real difficult to find,

Our premier event is Rotorstock and I remember at Rotorstock 2 which attracted something like 150 FD\'s and Kees brought his FD across from the Netherlands for the first time and he told me that he goes around Europe and sees only stock FD\'s, he comes to England and he can\'t find a stock one :Giggle

If you want to meet people we have a track day at Brands Hatch where you can just turn up to say hello on January  31st January 2011 plus a local to you,  Spring Rotor Show - Brooklands Museum: 24th April 2011 plus many other events that it will be great to see your car at

BTW,  now on Rotorstock 7
All the best Clive

Cheers guys, if i can get myself up and running by january 31st ill try get down. Was hoping to get pics up by now but the weather has been really poor and havn\'t moved the car since buying it on monday and sticking it under a cover !

Want to give it a good health check, carry out some maintenenance activities before getting out on the roads. Got a list of like 40 things to do, but not all before getting out on the roads obviously! cant wait to get started! will try get pics up ASAP !

i know it looks like loads of laquer peel, but thats actually ice that formed between the cover and the car over the last few days. Crapped myself when i pulled cover off and saw it though! haha
