WELLER71

Once upon a time (a few weeks ago actually), in a land far far away (Reading to be a little more precise). Three wise(ish) guys decided to quit their jibber jabber and live a dream!!!

After month of idle chit chat over too many beers, we decided we were gonna build ourselves a car for the track, But what was the tool of choice to be??
Scrolling through bazzillions of ads on allsorts of sites and coming up with exactly na-da, a helpful kind old gentleman butted into our conversation (heated arguement!!) and exclaimed "I might just have what your looking for" and gave us his number.

A couple of days later we all pile into a motor and go for a looksie, turns out kind old gentleman has been a technician for Mazda all his working life, and set up business in a workshop some years ago. He shows us to a old wooden shed in the corner of his yard and pulls open the door to reveal a 1986 RX7 gen 2. he fiddles with fuses in the panel and turns it over a couple of times, replaces the fuse and cranks it, and she fires on the button.

So, we now own a 1986 Gen 2 NON turbo, in red (or slightly pink) with 50000 miles on it, turns out that this old guy has lovingly serviced since it was brand new, then he purchased from its original owner and stuck it away in a shed.

So, thats our story, and all we need now is a little help, support and guidance from an owners club to point us in the right direction.

HELP US!!! WHAT HAVE WE DONE!!!:god

Welcome on board :D

There are a couple of Guys in the 2nd gen forum that have huge knowledge of the EGI 2nd gens. There are a couple of 2nd gen EGI track cars too with the owners on all the time !

Good Little screamer for the track :D

That\'s nasty!  You\'ll be hooked in about three gearchanges. :3gears-lh

Check out the trackday events, there are a few of us from the club who take various rotaries out on track for a bit of fun from time to time.  You\'d be welcome to join us!

Apparently putting details of your car spec in your signature means the nice folks on exile-rotorsport think you\'re a fool.  I can think of no higher compliment!

Oh and they work on the track ;)

Any questions you might have just ask away. Someone will help if they can.
I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)
