Looking at an FD3S with a  20b single turbo\'d engine on a Jap website that looks amazing!! Are there many like this in the UK and if so are they for sale??
Dave.

i dont think there are many about uk  mate.  i know of one turbo`d. the green beasty. one red NA and another with a rotex charger.  i looked into converting a rex to turbo`d 20b and with donor car its still another 15k on top.
if i had 8 hour to cut down a tree. i`d spend 6 sharpening the axe

my cousin has one. its a money pit but a great engine.  A guy called Mir on here has one ,  who will no doubt pop up shortly.

Unless its very well sorted already, you will be looking at a lot of money to get he best out of it,  there is no cheap way to build a proper one.   You will save a lot if you can do your own fab and fitting work.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

It was up at around 1.9 million yen before shipping and all the usual add on\'s, really do fancy one though, they must be fantastic to drive  :3gears-lh.
Dave.

they are but if its running any sort of decent power, you will soon toast a stock gearbox,  we had a brand new from mazda and its not done a couple of thousand miles but its whining  already.

Whats the spec?  turbo,  injectors, ecu etc,  it will give an idea if its putting out decent power

It\'s already sold but it really took my fancy, i\'ll get a link up tomorrow even though it\'s gone :(.  It got me thinking of what car i\'d like next :Thumbs-up

I\'ve been waiting for your reply :D. I can\'t, couldn\'t, wouldn\'t justify having £50k in an RX7 as i\'d prefer to spend £40k on a GTR or £30k on a Porsche Turbo as i loved my last one!
Do you have any pics i can lust over? Did you build her fully or buy her? If they are that problematic i may just follow my mate Andyg and go for a V8 when the mood takes me :Thumbs-up I need to get home from hospital as i\'m going to be skint soon gleaning ideas on the net!!
Dave.

Dav don\'t get me wrong, they are not problemetic, the problem is the tunning side. I must admit I spent some unnecessary money on it as well. I built the car from ground up. I didnt buy her like that.if u really wanna go for 20b, I would say let\'s do this as a joint project. I will help u free of charge and believe me u wud spend peanuts for having one. I know now how to save cost vn building it. I was doing caculation the other day and realized that I cud have saved a lot by doing certain things in certain way. Now my project is 4 rotor rx. See where I go with it. In nutshell they r not problematic. They really good except the fuel cost loll. And if u wanna build one i can help u build one very cheap.
Regards
Syed

Hi Syed,
Well that\'s very much appreciated and i may take you up on that offer! When will you be starting the 4 rotar, now that\'s something i\'d love to see!
I understand what you mean about the tuning side and it\'s always good to be forewarned by someone who has actually gone through a project. The fuel costs are not so much of a worry as it\'d only be an occasional use car back and fore to my business that\'s 2 miles away :3gears-lh
