Quote from: syebba;731943Should have a burgundy interior with highback seats in[integral headrests],the s1 seats had vinyl outer edges with fabric in the centres, they look better than s2/s3 seats.

Was the body salvageable or just too rusty?

What bodykit is that?

Havnt got a clue what kit that is but it covered a multitude of sins.

I didn\'t realise that SA went for so little-wish I\'d kept an eye on it now it\'d be in my shed with the blokes arm still attached to it.

Ian your old SA looks gorgeous!

Yep high rise seats,4 spoke steering wheel, manual windows etc.

Funny my white SA had a sunroof like yours,i thought,it looked like an aftermarket one,but maybe not.

Nerdy info here, did you know the interior light above the rear view mirror is different to s2/s3,s,now what would be the point in mazda changing that?

It may be a Richard Grant bodykit,i was going to fit one of their kits to my first fb 20 years ago, could,nt of been that many manufacturers for bodykits for fb\'s in those days.

My first 7 was an s3 that I paid £100 for in 1997.
Got it off my ex wifes brother who was a complete tw*t (twit), no mot no tax and parked on the road so he was desperate to get rid and I took advantage of the situation. Was a great car but a few years off the road soon killed it.
It went to a good home though, Ians doner car.

Doesn\'t it make you feel good when you\'ve got one over on some people.
Anybody treating a car the way you have explained deserves to be taken advantage of but on saying that, what bargain for a few years motoring too - well done.

Original Cliff, I got that one new in \'81, the colour was something maroon, but it always looked brown to me. Sold it for the deposit for the house I\'m in today in \'83.

syebba

I like that colour.
Did those wheels come with the car, they look like elford alloys?

Yes, and they are Elfords, the dealer, Richard Knight cars, had put them on it to sell, as when I bought it the series 2 had come out, and he had this one remaining series 1 in stock, if I remember right I paid £7750 for it.
