Quote from: syebba;731887Looks like the s1 needs a new rear valence.
Shame it\'s got wrong bumpers on & that rear spoiler, were those fitted to s1\'s?

I had an SA in mid to late 80\'s and the spoiler wasn\'t a standard fit and the bumpers weren\'t the wrap round type either.

Sadly Missed

that\'s all s2 / s3 stuff retro fitted. Wouldn\'t take much to put the proper S1 bumpers back on though and ditch the spoiler

Getting them may be a different thing thou.

It does seem like there\'s plenty for sale and really reasonable prices! I find it very surprising that people aren\'t snapping all these up right away.

I posted a picture of Rexanne in my thread on the mx5 forum and load of people were on about how nice it was and talking about wanting one, they fit the current trend of japanese classics becoming more fashionable and are fun and mega cheap.

Sooner or later the penny is gonna have to drop for the jap car enthusiast masses....

I\'d agree with that, trying to source complete s1 bumpers with indicators, end caps, would be like finding a needle in a haystack.

The side rubbing strips are very difficult to find now also, mazdatrix used to have various stock of genuine s1 parts, but a lot is now NLA.

Saw a few s1\'s up for sale a few years ago & all had been messed with, mostly interiors changed to s3 grey colour & s2/s3 bumpers, aftermarket alloys etc.

I scrapped a complete s1 (bar engine and box) about 2 years ago.
If I meet any of you guys in the near future, feel free to kick me :Hammer

Don\'t suppose you\'ve got a pic of the endangered, almost extinct S1 you killed have you?:Laugh

syebba

It\'d be G8 if someone here bought that S1,but we\'ve all got our projects/runners.

Should have a burgundy interior with highback seats in[integral headrests],the s1 seats had vinyl outer edges with fabric in the centres, they look better than s2/s3 seats.

Theres another black s1,lurking in the background

& i\'m pretty sure behind the red car is another s1,with the gold wheels,i think it\'s a black v reg TWR version,i\'ve seen it uncovered before.
