so now I\'ve found out that FC and FD calipers use the same pads, and that they\'re \'the same\', or so I hear, I wanted to know if UK spec FD front calipers will bolt straight onto the FC?

These are the ones I mean:

would there be any complications etc? Ta :driving

You will need different brackets

Well the kits we do for the FB, FC and FD all use different bracketry so I can but presume

i was under the impression they were a straigh bolt on?

Discs wont fit though

I heard they were bolt on, too.. but who knows! And when you say the Discs won\'t fit, do you mean my FC discs won\'t fit into the FD calipers properly, or FD discs won\'t fit onto the FC? Either way I think it sounds like a bit of a pain in the ass and I\'m better off just getting another set of FC ones!

FD discs wont fit onto the FC.

FC discs and fd calipers is a great combination. Had them on my old egi.

the great benefit is that they\'re much better at not seizing up. performance wise they\'re the same

Oh, so you had this exact setup on your old EGi? Did you have brackets or anything/did anything else need work?

dthebuk

no idea! Came like that and i never bothered looking. Though i was under the impression it was a direct swap

Unless there is a difference between UK FD and Jap FD calipers, these will go straight on.  Have FD calipers on my EGI currently, as one of my old EGI calipers died on me earlier in the year.  No problem fitting them.

Me too. FD callipers just bolt right on.
I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!
