Trying to keep with our newly established tradition, how about going to the Rising Sun Inn half a mile from Brands Hatch for food afterwards?

Seems like Hypo, you and I are definately up for a post-track meal (RX8OC thread a few minutes ago). As the "pub table" booker would you be kind enough to give them a call and see how busy they are on Friday night? I reckon there might be 8-12 of us interested in missing the M25 snarl-up?

UPDATE:Brands has had a couple of inches of snow today. They have no event today, next one is tomorrow (Wed) and are not sure yet whether that will be "on" or not, so you can imagine they can\'t give me any information on Friday\'s prognosis at this stage. They say it may not be until 4-5pm on Thursday night before decision is made. They do have facilities to clear the track of snow, but if the covering is excessive, still falling, or the track itself is exceptionally cold, then the day would be cancelled.

I\'ve spoken to Nick at Mazda on Track and he confirms that the event is still "on" until he hears from Brands Hatch to the contrary.

Keep an eye on this forum and I will update everyone as soon as I know anything more. Nick also has the email address of everyone who booked, so please check your emails. For anyone who took a transferred place please ensure Mazda on Track have your email address.

I had still been optimistic about Brands till just now:o

I don\'t live far from Brands and have just seen the local forcast,

In this area we have been grid locked all day and now they tell us that it will be colder with more snow tomorrow so no thaw and lots and lots more due on Thursday !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:(

IMPORTANT UPDATE - TRACKDAY POSTPONED

Nick at Mazda on Track has just confirmed this trackday has now been transferred to 31st Jan (Monday). Although I\'m obviously disappointed, it\'s also a relief, as the uncertainty was causing a lot of problems for everyone.

OK, the issue now is do people want to transfer to 31 Jan (which will happen automatically), or take a credit against another future event. If there are enough people interested I\'ll run with the 31st.
