Quote from: CHC;729814Looks as if MAU has been sold - somebody has got themselves a good motor, anybody at the MRC by chance?

a decent buy at the price... hope it shows up on here

Another offering from RX Motors on ebay...Ref 220702225660

A silver S3, fairly high miles but apparently looked after. It\'s been in the old RX7 Club Mags 2002, also at Brooklands 2003.

Trouble is the usual back end sill rot, but quite a bit. Tim makes the point that a looked after car unwelded is better than a bodge job......

another tidy looking 1st gen ebayed by RX Motors....

seem to be shifting some good stock

Ho Ho, beat yah by a minute Ian.      :wave

I can\'t always get the pics I want from ebay to my desktop, that\'s why I use references. Glad you can get the pics.

A nice 14mm red coach line 51.4 mm above the rubbing strip would just set that car off a treat.

I knew that car very well (WEV) at one time, it was owned by Alan Rees and I know he used to look after it well, but alas that was 10 to 15 years ago.

David Nock (RIP)

You mean WEV Dibs....

Yes I\'ve got it down as ex Alan Rees. Didn\'t he .....(don\'t like to use the word \'die\'). We\'re all immortal on this Club though....please tell me \'tis so.

Dave I dont I did try to cotact him a few years ago, but he no longer lived in the house I knew, and to be honest I did not want to delve any further.

Hmmmmm,RX motors may be closing down or just a clearout?

As you\'d expect, Tim is spot on. If 2 cars are in pretty much comparable condition,it\'s much better to buy an untouched car than one someones bodged or done a half assed restoration on.
The points of reference for letting in the new metalwork should all be as it left the factory and there is less chance of distortion in the shell.
It\'s twice as much work trying to correct someone elses bodge.
This car looks as if it\'s well worth the effort to bring it\'s condition back up.

Definitely looks good for somebody - alas not for me.
Yes Ian, Tim is right, I think perhaps I might have a half bodged job with Goldie but nevertheless will battle on and get her right.

Don\'t think Tim is closing down-just running out of room. 1st gen paradise that place.

syebba

Has Tim at RX motors got any S1\'s?

captainbizzaro

Yeah but not sure whether they belong to him-there is a metallic jadey colour green one there but unsure of any details.
