damn thats a cheap rx7 with a rebuild as well, id recommend doin a compression test before buying this one bud, if its got anything below 6 on the compression test then its gonna be a bit iffy!!! 7 is mint to good condition...... good luck bud but i will admit this one is a good buy either way!!!!!!!!!!

I havent got the money for the car or i would be asking him to meet me at a specialist to get it compression tested, i love it soo much but i have to wait till im 25 to insure it and i also have to wait till then before i can get the money together, no harm in looking and getting peoples opinions first though, would save me alot of money if i had it as im looking to spend 5k so some tasty mods could be done to it for the rest and i reckon i could offer 2.5k and get it.

Every person on here has their own opinions of different engine builders. Your best bet is speak to the engine builders, read up on here and make up your own mind rather than have different people try and drill their opinions into you.

If you\'re going down this route. Buying the car then insuring it years later (like myself), I\'d suggest buying as a big a spec car you can (if thats what you\'re end goal is) For say £4k more you could get a decent rebuilt single turbo car which will cost you a lot more money in parts to make yourself, let alone having someone else do it.

Just my opinion.

As for that car....shame about the wheels

i really like the wheels lol, im not looking at buying one before i can insure it, i only have 12 months to wait till im 25 so will just wait till then, tbh im hoping to find one with a popped engine with water issues and getting it rebuilt to my spec but not wanting a single turbo conversion atm.

fair play If that\'s the case, don\'t be blinded by the state of the engine. The chasis will be the most important part as that is an absolute hassle to replace!

Tri (Trial) Force Zelda, don\'t see many of them about. Probably a good reason for that :D http://www.wheelspecs.com/Trial-Zelda_wm557.aspx Can\'t beat a wheel named after the villain in Terrahawks, though :rollin

hurley engineering! took my car there to service as the engine had warranty when i bought my rx7! back then knew nothing about rx! done a second service last month and found out that hurley didn\'t plug in the spark plugs in properly! two plugs were burnt around the surrounding plugs! luckily i only drive the rex once a week! otherwise there could be more problems occurring later on! on the other hand the they also rebuilt the engine when the previous owner had it and the engine does feel very strong!

can I ask why you have to wait till your 25 to insure it?
I\'m new to the rexs but I\'ve been getting quotes from £1300 upwards and Im only 20? for a uk stock, mods add around £300-£500 depending on power ect or have I missed something?

I\'ve seen a few threads about people having problems with insurance? I have it down as a 2.6

I must admit I seen this car on PH looks good and the right money but I can\'t have another red car we have 3 on the drive now

Sorry to thread jack :WaveBye

reason why im waiting till im 25 was orginally because thats when i could also afford the car but i have been able to move that forward quite a bit and can get one in august next year, the other reason is i am payin 500 a year for my bora, cheapest quote i got in normal circumstances is 800 but if i wait till im 25 which would only be 5 months after i got my car i would get it for 240 on classic car insurance so a massive difference and if i pay for it all in one go i havent gotta worry about it again for 12 months!! the money im saving can be used for modding the rx7 further.

thats a great price I will try the specialists when I get mine and work out what I\'m going to to do with mods ect
