The royal family are wealthy enough to pay for their own wedding,the UK  has the worst debt out of any G20 country,councils due to lack of government funds are even considering switching off street lights to save money,the UK is actually bankrupt & yet we are throwing away much needed resources on a royal wedding & the olympics.
The government consistently lies to us about the costs of hosting events,the royal wedding will be no exception,i very much doubt bunting,tea mugs,plates,tv rights will any where near cover the costs of this event especially when you take security into account.

Heard on the new today the costs of the wedding will be split between the two families, the taxpayer will foot the bill of the security only, still rumoured to be some 30 million though! :cheers

My mum still has the Charles and Diana wedding on VHS somewhere even though they dont have anything to play it on anymore. Lost count how many times i\'ve said to just throw it out but she just say\'s \'ooh you never know i may watch it again one day\'.
