Hi,

I am a new to RX-7\'s and am looking seriously at purchasing the car below. I currently own a modded EVO6 TME and moving to the Type-R has always been on my wish list. The car is waiitng on a buyer monday - if he does not come through its with me to decide.

What i need to know is just a little about ownership of this car. What can i expect in maintenance? Running costs? MPG? and most importantly the drive of the car???

I wouldnt be asking normally until i see the car and drive it but i can see from the spec it will be top notch and wanted to know from the guys running these cars what i can expect if i swap over????

I do appreciate all comments relating to this and hope i can have some before monday??

I currently own this:-

Spoke to the guy last night - and he told me an irish lad was trying to sort insurance out monday - if not its up again for grabs.

I thought Ben was going to keep that for personal use!  I guess running an import business gets in the way of that sometimes.

Had a real good look round this car at Ben\'s place about a month ago and it\'s a really tidy motor - superb condition with some tasty mods on top of a nice look.

I know Ben quite well and one thing i can guarantee is that Bens car will be top quality and top notch you wont be disappointed, if i were looking i\'d buy Ben\'s FD mate.

Just my opinion but you asked, Evo\'s are great cars too and i nearly bought a Evo V but opted for the rx in the end, bad choice???? not at all:)

Goddammit that\'s a pretty car! What mods is she running? The RX-7 is a motor you can really get your teeth into, super-high maintainance but loads of fun if you do it yourself. Plus there\'s just something special about that little rotary.

difference is beware of wet twisties & god damn where the 4wd is good at getting off the mark the RX7 still is in a different way but top end acceleration is scarey quick!!!!http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008\' target=\'_blank\'>http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/18/18_3_108.gif\' border=0> Out of interest anyone know what the 60-100 kinda figures are for the FD?
Anyway different beasties but the 7 is as said a high maintainence supermodel with all the bonuses which come with it accept the cars drink & eat more..http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008\' target=\'_blank\'>http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_3_7.gif\' border=0> lol
