Could anyone tell me the capacity of a stock TII oil cooler I\'m just trying to come up with alternatives as they are thin on the ground and most are getting on a bit.

For example Chris Impey uses an eBay jobby on his drag car so in my eyes if it\'s good enough for his power then it\'s good enough for me.

Here\'s an example....

0.38L capacity 19 row.

Any thoughts?

I know when I emptied mine out to give it a good clean there was getting on for 1/2 a litre in there, and some may already have dribbled out - it\'s quite a big unit - about 2" x 6" x whatever the rad length is.

you could always just run two smaller oil coolers. Though one may be fine, its always nice to know you\'ve got more than enough cooling power

Just checked the service manual - and boy was I shocked !!

It says 0.85L for the cooler - and 4.4L for the sump - so my half a litre was very conservative :Giggle

It\'s big !

Dimensions are :

Length (including endtanks) 22.5"
Length (core only) 19.75"
Height 4.5"
Width 2"

Cripes! Okay that\'s good to know thanks for digging that out. Hopefully Tim Whites cave will save the day then!

I could go twin I guess but I\'ve only realistically got space in the centre section rather than the corners without hacking the bumper about which I\'d rather avoid doing to keep it as sleeperish as a noisy stinking FB can be. :Giggle

I have one thats seen better days. If you can\'t find a like new one you can have it for postage.
I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

How hard is it to get hold of a sierra one ? Remember the Rad guy suggesting it looked a similar size quite some time ago !
