pfc, altering injector size

can some 1 help me wiv this please,i need to tel the pfc that iv put 850&1300 injectors in,  any body

Ok, it\'s very straightforward really

You have a commander, right???

Go to settings - injector screen.

In the top box - Fr Pr, enter 65% (which is 550/850)

Do the same for Rr Pr box.

In the Q-Pr box put 850.

In the Q-Sc box put 1300.

Assuming that the 850\'s are stock secondary units and the 1300\'s are bored out 850\'s, you also need to change a couple of the lag time boxes as below:

Go to the two boxes Fr-Pr and Rr-Pr and alter the two boxes on the right of these to read +0.04 ms.

This is because the lag time of the 850\'s is different to the 550\'s that normally reside in the primary rail.

Thats about it!

Best to check with a proper a/f meter to ensure that everything works as it should though, to be safe.

didnt go 2 well. wen i changed the turbo manifold 4 a single turbo 1,the 2 gaskets between the manifold & the engine lookd ok so i didnt replace them,after i tryd 2 start the engine up petrol was porin out really bad from the 2 gaskets,well flooded now,
i did what u said,the engine flooded so i left it for a while,  i turnd the ignition back on and all the data i put in had gone back 2 the stuff it was in the 1st place,is there some way of savin what i put in.i put the data in a few times 2day and every time the ignition was turnd off the data went off 2,i tryd the (all datd init) with the (yes&no) still no good

also in the(function select) 1, seq turbo cont  ,
does this mean single turbo or twin, cause in the box on the right there is a symbol u can change. it looks like a japanese sign.
cause i think i need to tell the ecu that ive got a single turbo too..

if i didnt do what you said,will it obviously with the larger injectors inject twice as much fuel because the data isnt stored in the ecu properly,so the ecu still thinks its on stock injectors till its done properly?

what am i doin wrong???

No way should the ecu be resetting itself every time you turn the car off! Get that sorted first!

I have never had this happen to me, no reassurance to you, I know!

Once you have got that working, set up the injectors as before and turn off the sequential control - there are two jap symbols, the one for \'no\' is opposite to most of the others, which default to the symbol for \'yes\'.

If it is resetting itself, then yes, it will be absolutely chucking in the fuel!

not 2 good then,me rx has been of the road 4 a while, it aint been started in a long time,every thing was ok wen i parked it up all them months ago,

arhhhhhhhh,still resettin itself, fully charged battery no blown fuses,every thing looks ok n were is should b,

i did manage 2 get the engine goin but with out the fuel pump on,
as soon as i connected the fuel pump it flooded. twice that happend,not sure if the ecu reseted it self or not wen it was runnin thou,

i spoke 2 ross @ dragon about the ecu reseting it self, hes never herd of any thing happing like this b4,

wen the ecu is mapped proply,is it done much differently than say what im tryin to do with the injector sizes with the commander,

Only thing I can think of is that a tuner has \'locked\' the ecu.

This is possible with the original Apexi tuning software, but can I think be undone with the FC-Edit software and a laptop.

Other than that, I\'m stumped.

Where did the ECU come from?

Right, I\'ve done a little more investigation - I\'m almost certain that the software has been locked as above - either by a Japanese tuner using the original Power Excel software, or someone with access to FC-edit - the non original package that we use.

Get your car to someone to unlock it for you.
