hi guys,

any ideas is i will be able to fit some 19" wheels on a fd with stock suspension ?

maybe someone has done it before ^^ ... some pics would be great to see how the fit

dthebuk

Yup it can be done.

though if the answer was "no" you wouldn\'t actually consider raising your ride height just to fit some 19\'s would you?

maybe i would :)

why u asking ? is that a no go ?

think fds look nice with large wheels on them, just wasnt sure i could do it with the stock suspension on or what it would look like then

A mate of mine ran 20\'s on the rear & 19\'s on the front & the car was lowerd a bit on Tain shocks! The only issue I can see you having is body clearance with suspention travel, but  this depends on the offset on the wheels! but even then all you would need to do is roll the inner lip of the arch!

wheels are :

19 x 8 fronts - ET40
19 x 9.5 rears - ET35

Definitely a no go. Not only would you ruin the the handling of the car by fitting the wheels, you\'d ruin it further by raising the suspension!

Well they look silly IMO. They\'ll make your ride height higher unless you run a silly tyre profile, then they\'ll just look silly. If you plan on lowering the car and running stretchy wheel fitment, you\'ll get the bump steer and rubbing but none of the lowness. They\'re heavy, tyres cost more, and they upset the handling.

Saying that... If you ran 17\'s on the front with the same tyre profile as the 19\'s on the back and then properly lowered the back. You\'d keep the nice steering response, you\'d have heaps of grip at the back and you\'re car would look amazing!

appologies, i\'m a bit of a snob when it comes to how rx7\'s should look :Thumbs-up

I disagree but then i\'ve got 19" Veilside Andrews wheels on mine and i think they look great!!
I do agree that they spoil the handling a bit though but then again i usually just pose around and only go fast in a straight line :3gears-lh

they will fit with no prob. may need a wee roll on the rears if you lower it
if i had 8 hour to cut down a tree. i`d spend 6 sharpening the axe
