I said I would post up any offers that have come through to me since posting up that I might consider moving TMX on.

As a one owner, genuine miles, with history, (somewhat unique, these days dare I say) 1st Generation RX7.

I have had interest from two individual parties.
One of whom has made 2 offers on the above basis and is now at £1400

subject to full inspection.

Don.

As already stated, I have not decided one way or the another yet, and I am not ashamed to say that this decision will be decided on the strength of those offers.

THIS IS THE CAR ON OFFER

I thought eBay was the website for auctions, not MRC
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

Yeah, very ethical. From what I understand you bought the car for £850 earlier this month, gloated about what a steal it was, drove it home....and errrr   have done nothing else to it at all, yet now it\'s worth offers upward from £1400? Well worth the membership fee then

Ian65

Don,
I don\'t really understand why you\'re posting this on here...
If your determined to solicit bids for this car, stick it on ebay. This is a forum for genuine enthusiasts, not people trying to line their pockets.
And what happened to...

as far as I\'m aware, he hasn\'t even taken posssession of it yet. Just trying to trade it and make some money out of us.

This thread should be locked.

Oh dear me,

Im not sure Ian why you persist with this line,

Didnt you have the same attitude to another chap who in the interest not just of himself, but in the interests of everyone who looks on here, offered parts (namely moonroof sunroofs), regardless of his price ? As I understand it he too came under attack, am I right ? I thnk so.
Following intervention by Dave Nock I believe some back tracking took place.

Look, you need to understand something chaps, this is a PUBLIC FORUM, its not your privately owned gentlemen\'s club. You click, and pay if you want to, then you are FREE to join in. You dont own it, we all do.

There are rules of play, as was pointed out last time round when the dummies came out over the moonroofs, I have not stepped over that mark, I would urge you not to either. Lets keep it decent, and that goes for the other comments prior to this one.

If you have no interest in this topic, dont post silly jibes.

I have not broken any rules, and I am not conducting an Auction here, I have merely expressed that I may or may not sell the car, depending on the outcome. Therefore if this thread is closed it will only prove one thing.

You have been very helpful to me, and so have others in helping me to understand this car, and how best to go about looking after it, should I take that route. Please move on and stop acting like spoilt children.

I clearly stated earlier that I would post up details of any offers, and that is exactly what, if you do not like this, you should not comment, and frankly if you do not like it, then I am sorry for your attitudes.
I am a decent bloke, Ian & others, dont treat me like some third rate money grabbing del boy. I do not need £2000 or 3000 or 10,000, this is not about the money.

I have expressed and hopefully proved my honesty and decency to some on here, one of which I thought was you Ian, so this further backtracking seems sad, but possibly typical. I hope not.

We said earlier and I am sure if I could be bothered I could quote you agreed to move on, please dont keep being negative. Thank you Ian.
Don.

Don.

Persist with this line?? My 2nd post on the subject??

The sunroof issue was completely different situation. Yes, I had views on it but the seller hadn\'t masqueraded around the forum for a couple of weeks before hand pretending to have a genuine enthusiasm for the cars as you appear to have done.
Everyone on here has gone out of their way to help you and you repay that by throwing it back in their faces. I note you didn\'t object to my \'attitude\' when I was answering your pm\'s and sending you buyers guides.

Other members will have their own views and may or may not make these known but I have to say, after you took exception to being labelled disingenuous, you have done little to change that perception.

Rather than attacking me, I suggest you examine your own conduct on this forum.

don wyatt

Why oh Why Ian,

I have already thanked you for your help and advice, and PMs with links etc.

What would you like me to do now ?

Everyone on here has been helpful, and I take offence at your accusations that I am a masquerade.

DO YOU NOT LISTEN, I HAVE NOT SAID THAT I AM DEFINITELY SELLING, Therefore I have everyone right to make friends and gain some knowledge.

ARE YOU THE FORUM POLICE IAN, or JUST A BULLY ?
Are you a MODERATOR ? NO !

Stop surmising and trying to label me, others on here will have already seen right through this.

What if I keep the car, Ian, and attend the MRC outings and shows, and become a valuable resource to others one day, will you treat me like something you just trod in then ?  I hope not.
You are not gaining any friends Ian , but you are likely to lose some if you persist in accusing and labelling me. Its your choice.
Don.

I will not comment further on this, so please stop sabotaging my thread, if you wish to continue, start your own thread, maybe you could call "PERSECUTING DON"

kev-yorks

Please keep this civil guys MRC is not a auction site as stated but by the same token there are numerous cases of guys offering motors subject to offers so president has been set there. Don by the same token MRC is not a vehicle for profit making unless your a paying trader so there\'s no clear cut rights and wrongs here. I\'m working at the moment so don\'t have the time to go through all of Dons posting history to see if he trades regularly so will leave this to run until i\'ve looked over his history. In the mean time please try to keep the dummies in the pram guy\'s.
Regards Kevin

Ian65

No problem Kevin,
I\'ve nothing to add.

don wyatt

Thanks Kevin, Nice to know that you are keeping an eye open.
I assure you I am no trader, and I am happy to quote the forum rule No;2, which was rightly quoted by Clive, during the Moonroofs thread, which some of you may recall.

2. Online Behaviour

The primary change will be one of attitude – with respect for other club users now becoming the number 1 criteria for being part of MRC. The forum is not to be a platform to disparage others, make accusations or insinuations relating to the character or conduct of others. MRC will be more ready to pro-actively manage the content of posts seen as defamatory or aimed at promoting senseless argument amongst individuals or groups. These rules apply to everyone

don wyatt

what a lot of hoo ha, but its great publicity. £1500 offer. same party. Thank you very much  to *****.

Don.

David Nock (RIP)

Hardly fair to say I intervened on the Moon Roof Don. I\'m in no position to intervene in anything to do with the club. I merely pointed out that, to my mind, Ian had gone in too hard over the roof pricing business. I thought then and still do think that what a seller asks is up to him. I\'m glad to say Ian did some gracious stuff and the whole matter has since been forgotten.
I\'m not too hung up over your buying and selling TMX immediately Don, which is why I tried to \'ease\' the tension over your \'selling post\', but to be honest I\'ve thought several times since that I could have been wrong about my words, which I never did over the M/Roof topic.
This post we\'re on with now really made me concerned. I\'m sorry but I think you should have kept such an inflamatory subject under wraps from hereon in. I winced inside when I read your post this morning.
So my present thoughts are back to \'What does this Guy want from us?\'....

Sadly Missed

don wyatt

Well Dave, Thats a much more decent and grown up response to some Ive had on this thread, so thank you.

I understand your concern, and also the Moderators concern, (he may think Im a trader ) but im not. Anyway Dave, the thing is mate, Im in two Blaady minds what to do with this car. To be totally honest and truthful to you, I wish I had never seen it now :o

Its not about the money Dave, 100% on my childrens lives, its not. (I hate saying that but I want to convince you). Its just like I said. I am thinking at the moment about two vehicles, one is this RX7, the other is another TVR, which is at the mo, sounding more appealing. So i guess it is a bit about the money. If I were to buy TMX, and make a profit, wheres the harm ? I may then put this towards the TVR ?
If I dont sell TMX and keep it, I would have been quite happy to learn more about this weird engine, and why it has such a following. To be fair Dave, Im losing the will to live on this one.
I think I should not have joined in here, as I have been slated for simply being honest, and that hurts. I find it unfair, I find it ignorant and I find it childish.
I do however appreciate that you chaps dont know me, but if I was a crook as I have been made out to be, would I give out my phone number ?, Would I give out an invitation to join me at my business premises for free coffee and meets, of course not.
That is why I find  the bandwagon that Ian has joined a bitter taste. Ive said before and I will say this again, I am a genuine and generous person.
I am considering simply buying this car and sticking it on ebay, Maybe someone else can appreciate it then, or even buying it and letting it fall apart, and that would be sad wouldnt it.

Either way Im fed up with what has been said on here, and how Ive been judged, just like the guy with the sunroofs. My own fault or not, its unfair im afraid to say. still at least the MRC has benefited from my membership fee.

Don.
