As above. I\'m getting rid of it. Where is it? In the black box under the steering wheel? Has anyone else done this

its in the f100 cpu/relay box in the drivers footwell. mine has been on intermittantly over the last week so i removed the buzzer as i had to drive to try another f100 and it was doing my head in.

to remove it undo screw on the back side of the box then lever off the plastic clips to free up then remove the back plastic cover. once this is off the circuit board will come out easily and all you have to do is identify the buzzer which is the large round tower like black plastic componant which is easy to spot but if your not sure it lines up under the hole in the plastic casing which has buzzer written next to it. once found turn over the circuit board and you will see the buzzer has 2 pins all you have to do is un solder these and pull the buzzer out. easy

for me i tried a different f100 which did the same thing so i have issues elswhere so am still trying to track it down but until i do my buzzer is staying out so i stay sane :)

hope this helps

brill cheers so its take the black box out open it up remove buzzer? great. i have a new set of white clocks and c fibre surround which make the water low buzz constantly. time to get shut of the buzzer once and for all. unless i can repair the gauges.

Thanks again

i take it you have checked both connections under the bonnet?? the buzzer works by there being an earth through the water level sender. if either of the connectors is broken (one next to the filler neck just on the right hand side about 6 inches form the sender the other is just below the throttle elbow right next to the dipstick) it cant earth and causes the buzz, mine buzzed when i bought the car originaly and all it needed was a new spade connector fitted where the wire had pulled out of the original. took 2 mins to do. if its one of those makes it easier than removing the buzzer :)

no my old clocks dont make the buzzer go off the new ones do. its something to do with my clocks 100%. swapped them over a few times. old ones no beep new ones beep. the binnacle has been modified with lights and external temp sender. not sure how to fix em so ill just get rid of the buzzer. cheers
