fueling issue

i have just got my car back from the bodyshop resprayed and took it for its first long run out,so went to the shell garage and filled it with v power it ran great on the top half of the tank but wen it got to just below half the car wouldnt rev over 5 and just started poping abit, i filled it back up and it ran great again. i dont know if this is something that has happend while its been sitting but i have checked all fuses and they seem ok and all the wires seem ok to, anybody haveny ideas why it wont run properly on the bottom half a tank?

Replace the fuel filter first

al pop another one on but its only done 1100 miles since it was last changed, is there 2 fuel pumps on the fds or just the 1 in the tank? al give the filter a go fingers crossed

Just 1 intank, check its mounted properly and the sock is ok

sounds like the fuel gauge is broken or the fuel pump isnt mounted right.

the gauge is ok wen it gets to just below half its about £65 to get it full again. il take the pump out and have a look and change the filter, anything to look for on the pump to tell if it is mounted wrong?

2nd on fuel gauge then as i have just filled mine tonight with vpower @121.9p from empty to full and it clicked off at £71.60

Deffo fuel gauge. £70 to fill it normally

id say judging on the ablve posts that your fueling issues may be because your low on fuel and the gauge is not reading correctly if it costs that much from half!
