Hi guys, my fd sits at 95c to 100c after driving it for about 10mins and I know it should be running at around 85c, how can I reduce my temps? And is there any underlying issue to why it sits so high?

Do you have an undertray fitted? Don\'t know if that would make a ten degree difference though.

getting to that temp in that space of time, I would say it\'s worth taking a look at your thurmostat!

Vented bonnet and ducting.

You could also get a cooler thermostat to aid the cooling process.

cool. ill look at getting a new thermostat, whats a good one to buy?  i dont think i do have an under tray ill have a look tomorrow.

Are the fans coming on? Shouldn\'t they kick in way before 100 degrees?

Would second looking at the thermostat.

I\'ve run without an undertray for a while and it shouldn\'t make that much difference.

Check the gaskets on the exhaust manifold for the turbo to make sure it is not pumping hot air in to the engine bay (you would notice the turbos seeming a bit laggy with this)

Coolant flush, followed by bleeding loads of air out.

Undertray will make a big difference, easily 10 degrees when rolling.
As above, id start by checking rad condition and giving it a good few cycles of flush/reverse flush. Lower temp stat and vented bonnet are just band aids to address the symptoms, not the root cause. Unless it\'s a boned thermostat, in which case a new one will help, regardless of temp!
Take the thermostat out and heat it in a pan of water, and see ifit opens when expected:)

My turbos don\'t feel that powerful but I just thought it was down to not being mapped yet on my apexi, I\'m gonna head up to Jaydees soon for a mapping so I\'ll ask him wat he thinks about my turbos,

SiH

If I were you I\'d sort any potential cooling issues out prior to mapping dude. You want everything to be running 100%

Cool I\'ll get a new thermostat and try flushing my system 1st

DR SCHNITZEL

I have a spare undertray. id like some petrol money for if you need one

JamietypeR

cool dr schnitzle if i havent got one ill dfntly contact u regarding this
