As the title says, is it possible to put in an S5 cluster in an S4 without any modifications? I got an N/A Cab swapped engine, so I do not have the turbo gauge, but the voltmeter.

The only thing that worries me is if the S5 uses a wire or digital speedometer? (dunno the terms in english). My S4 atleast is using wire.

Also, are there any easy way to get the Logicon out without disassembling the whole dash? I want to put red led-bulbs all over, but that one was a real struggle to get out.

And, another question while here. As far as I know, the RX7 FC got standard (again, missing my english terms here), central locking system, that is if you lock the driver side door, it locks both, and so on, instead of needing to lock both manually.

I think this got something to do with my alarm disfunctioning sometimes. I have to unlock the passenger door (which got a separate key, and I lost it) for the alarm to be disenganged. Which is really annoying really.

Damn, I\'m not done yet... Electrical mirrors and the clock (only the clock), do they share fuse? In that case, where might that be? I have checked all wires in the doors and the center console, there are nothing implying that they should stop working all of a sudden.

Anyways, if you think you may have an answer to any of these questions, please feel free to answer. A half answer is better than no answer :)

Okay, what google can\'t do. Question 4 is answered: CIGAR: Cigarette lighter, A/C compressor, mirrors, clock, HVAC. Same fuse. I do not know if my A/C comp. works, as it is like 4 degrees C here in Norway, I do not feel the urge to test it.

Cigarette lighter. I took it out, I don\'t have the original one, and nothing else fits in the hole it seems. Might be that I need the orange light ring (which I dont have).

But I will test my mobile phone charger in the cigarette lighter and see if I get light. If not, this is Captain Obvious on the run!

A few answers from my experiences :

Central locking - if it\'s through the standard Mazda alarm, is in the passenger footwell - up behind the air blower - On Mitch\'s S5 coupe there was about 4 boxes for the alarm/central locking.

On some cars it\'s an option in the CPU module - which is the odd shaped black case in the drivers footwell - just in front of the fuse box.

Then on to the logicon - If you lift the gear gator, there are 2 screws there, and then remove the top central vent - 2 more there - then the central console can be moved forward enough to get to the 4 screws holding the logicon in.  There are about 3 or 4 rather tight connectors on the back - a bit fiddly, but you can do it with a friend or an extra arm ;)

S5 Speedo - it\'s a mechanical cable into the back of the gauges - it\'s a bugger to get out - but I guess you already know that from the S4 one.  Stick a bit of tape around the cable - it stops the clip sliding down to far if you let go of it :)

At the moment, 4/6 of my gauges are off. That is voltmeter (which means I have to take the needle out, and set it on exactly 12V or whatever I got when the car is running (thru a external voltmeter), my speedometer was showing too little. Like 5-10 km/h less. Also I got mp/h, which is useless for me, so I want a european S5 cluster, so I can see what I\'m driving in more clearly than the small pixels that they call km/h there. I think the UKDM got the same cluster as my USDM.

Wowowow! I almost forgot! Anyone got S4 turn signal/park lights glass and reflectors? I got the USDM, which is orange (park lights), they are illegal in norway, so the road worthiness test will fail. And we don\'t want that? :)

Okay, this is my question then: The S5 cluster WILL fit in an S4, with the connectors being the same? In that case, do anyone here have one with Volt-meter (preferably), and Km/h as main unit of measuring? I do not like the S4 ones with a quarter circle as for the small gauges. I prefer the round ones from S5.

TBH the stock boost gauge is rubbish. If you\'re speedo ect works at the moment i wouldn\'t bother with the swap

I never said I wanted the stock boost gauge. I said I wanted the voltmeter one.

And that is from the S5, without turbo. Km/h, not Mph.
