Quote from: David Nock;720131Thanks Cliff....\'Deputies\'?....well Ian would almost certainly have launched this list if I hadn\'t beaten him to it...Plus all the other mates are really full fledged saddo Reg collectors in there own rights. They just don\'t know it yet.

Colours seem to be a fair spread across the available choices for each, with maybe Red edging it.

As for a localised area, very definitely. The 1st Gen has had a very Southern customer base with the South of England/South East having many more cars than Northern Areas. Least represented seems to be Wales.
County by County it\'s thrown by \'The Dorset Massive\'. That\'s Tim White at RX motors who keeps a yard full on the stocks.:2eek

I\'m sending you the latest location list Cliff, I\'ve got your email. As always there\'s no confidential data, only location by area and a colour.
Excel file precludes PM\'ing to you.
Anyone else would like the October Location list just let me have an email address....dgnock at btopenworld dot com

Thanks a bunch for that David - have received it and am doing some small modification to it myself.  Will return with slight revision for your information when completed.

:cheers

Quote from: CHC;720117Sorry John, was only jesting, my point being your car goes for MOT today (how did you get on?) and off for holiday next week - put both together with a celebration for an MOT pass, so either the chunnel or car ferries etc; perhaps it was a little late last evening.

Hi John - don\'t keep us in suspenders, how did your Rex get on?  I\'m sure we are all sitting here holding our breath.

It would be useful Gary if the owner doesn\'t mind. Plus rough location...town/city. Is it Enniskillen area? It was Co. Fermanagh Reg when new by the way.

I hold VIN Nos. if they are offered to me but in these Islands the VIN seems to be seen as the thing not to be released.
Elsewhere in the world a car\'s VIN seems to be the main key identifier. Someone told me that cars in US for example have a different Reg every few years (or was is when changing states)?

Anyway the VIN for \'DIL\' would be most useful if you can get it.

Engine Nos are not important to me because there has usually been a swop out on these cars after more than 25 years.

As Dave says, I probably would have done this list if it wasn\'t already up and running but I am thankful that I didn\'t!
The work that goes into keeping it current and as accurate as possible really is immense with cars constantly being sold, sorned, scrapped, restored etc etc... and we should all be grateful for Daves passion and enthusiasm for maintaining this register and making it available to us all.

Couldnt agree more, three cheers for Mr Nock!
It was Davids investigating that led me to this forum, I was looking at a 7 for sale on e-bay and one of the questions was david hunting for details.
I wondered who this guy was so followed his link to hear. :D

Adding this guy\'s details to the 1st Gen Cars Breaking list....in Halifax.
Strictly speaking it\'s a rolling shell with the rest of the parts taken off.

Also adding to the list a gearbox plus engine ancillaries/exhaust for sale in Wisbech. The guy put a BMW engine/box into an S3 so I guess these are the \'no fits\' left over.

I\'ll put the list up again.
