Looking great Cliff-love white FB\'s. I would lose that foglight though......repositioning into one of the reverse light wells is easy peasy. Up to you though of course.:chat

Tell me more Tim - would be interested to hear how!

The foglight feed (on mine at least) ran right past the offside light cluster and I hated the daft dangly fog light so chopped the cable off at the light, pulled it back through the grommet into the boot space behind the light cluster. Then I went to RXMotors and bought a secondhand reverse light lamp holder for £3, crimped it onto the feed, painted a reverse bulb red (I believe you can buy a decent wattage lamp in red too) and hey presto.....no dangly fog light! It\'s gone through three MOT\'s now without a problem so thats good enough for me.

Looks great Cliff, I\'ve also got a white fb, love um. What do you use on the spoiler to keep it looking so black?

You\'ve made a fantastic job of that Cliff, it looks superb. Love white fb\'s, especially when they are as clean as that.
We\'ll all have to try to get to some meets next year in our 1st gens.... pity they all seem to be miles away though.... are there any club meets north of Santa Pod?

captainbizzaro

Agree with you there Ian would be great to have a good meet up with as many of us as possible-unique photo opportunity too. If the weather doesn\'t look like it\'s going to improve then that\'ll be it for NEV for the year as I\'ve got another engine for him and the clock is ticking for the decent crisp mornings in the spring which cannot be missed. Plus it\'ll give me a chance to give him a freshen up on the appearance side.

The problem is Tim that we all live so far away from each other. If we had a meet say in the Peak district that would suit the owners north of Birmingham and would maybe tempt Dave down from the land far far away but wouldn\'t be any good to yourself or the guys from down south. It\'s hard to find a venue that suits everyone. I don\'t get to many of the main club meets because they seem to be southern based and it\'s a long ( and crap) drive from here.
Perhaps the Cotswolds might be a contender?? Still a long drive for some but there\'s some lovely places for an overnight stay. Bourton on the Water maybe next spring??

Peak District.....45 miles away.....steady on there!!!!

Yeh, be smashing to get to somewhere that\'s sub 100miles away.

There were shows at Thoresby (Notts) that MRC used to attend years ago....also just a couple of years back there was a show at Nostell Priory, just to the west of Doncaster, but we were going off abroad at that time. Shaun went I think.

Love the car Cliff, great work. About the other, let \'em dangle as nature intended I say. And that goes for the rear foglight as well.    :yes

If thats the Bourton-on-the-water near Cheltenham that\'s only a 2 hour drive for me, I personally don\'t mind venturing further north if it means it draws more of us there as I think I\'m in the minority as far as global position is concerned!

perhaps we should start a thread re. a possible 1st gen get-together next year to get everyones thoughts on it. It\'d be nice to get together with everyone with their cars.

I really did think seriously about Brooklands this year but the Missus had a minor health problem so we didn\'t bother. The plans were to stop over and maybe take in some of the strange sights, ways and customs of the Natives down in that corner of the Country.     :flamed ...(Waiting for it now).

Places like Benzworld, The World Garden at Lullington Castle (?) Dickens Museum at Medway, and so on.

Might try again in 2011 but of course if a Spring Jolly abroad came up we\'d let everyone down (in the sense that we\'d committed and cancelled), so best see what happens. Intend a big try at attending Brooklands though.

Edit....Posting crossed with above.
