Hi
I\'ve had my 94 FD for 2 years now and has a fault thats starting to get to me! basically its a single turbo running a power fc but i have no commander. the heat light flashes 2 seconds on seconds off from the second i turn the key but the car drives faultlessly! i\'ve contacted pip WGT who built the engine (not in my ownership) and he\'s advised me to hook it up to a commander as a sensor is failing it the commander will tell me what one so i can replace it.
has anyone in essex or near it got a commander who would be willing to meet up and see whats going on with it?
any help would be great.:god
thanks
tom

if it flashes 3 times in quick succession it\'s a knock warning
if it flashes at 0.5sec intervals its injector duty warning
if it goes on and stays on (no matter how long for) its a sensor intermittently failing.

may not be of any help, but i\'ve got a commander for sale (will fit all 2nd edition PFCs - FD3S4-6) if you want it?

Thanks for your reply! I would be very interested if it fits my car, it\'s a 94 type r so I\'m not to sure without checking the numbers on my power fc! What year car did it come off? And how much would you want for it?
My lights is on for 2 second intervals from the second I start the engine till I turn it off??
Thanks again!

no probs, I bought it thinking it would fit mine (\'93) but i\'ve got the FD3S1 PFC so I needed the unique commander for that.

If you look at the serial number on your PFC (it\'s behind the passenger footwell side trim panel if you weren\'t aware) and it says either FD3S4/5/6, then it\'ll fit. If it\'s FD3S1/2/3 then you\'ll have a \'mare trying to get one!!

That sounds like an intermittent failure of a sensor every two seconds, or an earth fault potentially?
