Some of you will have seen this already but as she has evolved thought i\'d get some pics up.

Stock-ish when bought:

Not good enough for my liking, URAS ordered and delivered,

Trust Ti-R fitted too:

Something missing??? by by 13B

HELLO:

OS Giken fitted

Nitron Dampmers

20B subframe and bump steer

McCARTHY

Now the plan was to go with an N/A set up but then Carl goes and tells me he has a GT42 in his workshop that would sit lovely in my engine bay... so a few days pass and:

test fit to see where it wil fit!

McCARTHY

Turns out after the Mircotech was fitted that the 20B rear rotor had no compression at all. Tips had seized in the rotor.

Hours later and clean. Fortunatly not damaged

McCARTHY

Turbo manifold on T6. This did raise a few concerns as the outlet on the T6 comp housing is a huge 5". WAY OTT for the wheel size. This has since been swaped out for a T4 housing 1.12A/R may even go down to a 1 A/R depending on responce.

Time to get into the booth give her a new lease of life:

Now i felt the white was too white so time for abit more colour, paint i mean no stickers for me thanks

What he said!

And if you\'re in esher you\'re only just down the road from me (worcester park), wouldn\'t mind coming and having a very envious gawk at some point :cool

Good work mate, when will this be out to play?

Not sure got to get the Peripherl port FC done first. I\'m doing small bits here and there on this one but no rush really.

I do have more pics of other bits doen will have to get them up. Tonight.

Good work mate. Hurry up and finish it so we can all dribble over it :p

SIR YES SIR!

Some more pics to bring the build a little more up to date:

Some slightly more trivial bits to start

Chopped fuel rails and fitting with -6 fittings for bigger fuel lines and fuel system

Section taken out of the lower inlet manifold so i can close the bonnet!

I don\'t have any pics of the finished ports but here is a comparison between the ones on the 20B and stock half way through the job.

Enigin shifted back a few inches. As much as the standard engine bay will allow. I\'m debating wether to move the block back further and cut the bulk head to allow it.

before

after

Ada7

Are you going to get the block painted or anything?
What difference would it make to having it further back in the engine bay?

Diffuser:

Exhaust system

3.5" down pipe into 3" mid pipe and centre silencer then dual 2.5" exits. I\'ll be honest i don\'t usually use Magna flow boxs (refering to the centre box) but i had it lying around the workhop hey why not use it!

Still needs V-banding but there on the way,

Test fit:

Fuel cell with built in catch tank and baffles

The problem with many 20B conversions is they sit the engine too far forward, thus having it plonked up on top of the rack rather than behind it. Which buggers up weight distribution, component clearance and loads of other stuff.. The trouble is that you need to massage....oh, all right, brutalise :Giggle the bulkhead rather to get it far enough back/low enough down for the optimal engine location.....then you have new problems of altering propshafts, PPFs etc.

Looks like a good build, James, it\'ll be interesting to see how you get around the issues that crop up. Paint looks lovely, and that manifold is a work of art :mmmm
