Fuel Line Issue

Hi wondering if anyone can help me wit this. Right I put a 89 series5 EGI engine into my 88 series4 shell. In the 88 shell there is only two fuel lines running from the fuel tank to engine but on the Haynes manual there is suppose to be three. The one i\'m missing is the one that connects to the "charcoal canister" then runs to a "check and cut value" then the fuel tank. The "check and cut valve" seems to run in behind the seat on the 88 shell. Can anyone enlighten me??
