Fire suppression systems

Hi everyone,

I am just wondering what people might recommend for fire suppression systems, just incase an injector explodes or theres a fuel leak somewhere in the engine bay.

I am thinking of one of those in car routing ones that you pull a handle and it deploys, anyone recommend what I might have a look for?

Demon tweeks have got a good selection, bit pricey think it\'ll cost about £100 for the cheapest just engine bay setup.
I ordered the motorsport catalogue from there website and leave at work it\'s a good read when nothing to do. It\'s worth getting just for reference, and its free :Giggle

Me and the misses installed a demon tweeks 4.2l 6 nozzle(3 in engine bay and 3 in cabin) mechanical system in our FD\'s earlier this year, was a relatively easy install (kit was about £250 each though) but would consider it money well spent!

Yeah, im not too worried about cost, I just need a recommendation to what is best to use etc where is best to mount the tank?

Suppose it all comes down to reason for fitment, if it\'s to cover you on track then a smaller tank would do as the marshalls will be armed with some anyway.

If it\'s for general use then get as big as possible, fire engine is gonna take at least 5mins to get to you, ideally you want to flood as much as possible and you don\'t want to be opening the bonnet when it\'s in flames either.

Made more sense to us to get the 6 nozzle jobbie as the misses has buckets and harness to get out off too, so you can imagine going down the motorway at the legal limit, smelling smoke (or even seeing a flame) pulling across 3 lanes and slowing down then getting out before it\'s all to bad. the last thing you need is to pull the lever and it runs out of juice!
