Epic fail, our European rally

Well just got back from what should have been a 5 day road trip around Europe. Instead it turned out to be 1.5 day visit to France.

To cut a long story short, here it is in bullet points.

-Supposed to do banger rally Thurs - Tues, Calais to Prague

-Last week we take banger to be checked by garage. Garage test drive, forget to shut bonnet, completely feck it up and roof etc.

-Then alternator goes just before rally.

-We decide to take my daily drive 1.4D Yaris, but just for drive in Europe as we couldn\'t participate in Rally properly.

-Noise begins on way down to Dover but nothing major.

-100 miles into France and its very bad.

-Find Toyota garage. They advise wheel bearing is dead and we can probably do another 500km on it (just enough to get home), cannot get part until Tuesday so we are stuck.

-We go home.

-Ferry breaks down.

-We get home with only a few silver linings.

Really hacked off, especially as it only went through it\'s MOT 3 weeks ago.

In fail terms it is great. We could not believe our luck when the captain announced mechanical problems

Hay ho, at least we found that driving in Europe is pretty easy

Don\'t do lotto, but have got my Best of the Best entry

We don\'t smoke or drink, so duty free was wasted on us 2

Plus, a lot of stuff drink wise on the ship isnt as cheap as asda!
