Hey buddy

Yeah i did, and i do want the ecu, but it wouldnt be this week, too many things just to get her seaworthy. Wheels/tyres/brakes/welding.

Its a Walbro255

BTW, do they still do new panels for underneath ? Shes going a bit on the sills.

Well, having not been able to do much whilst waiting for the brake parts :

Black diamond grooved discs front and rear
Ferrodo DS2500 pads front
Mintex 1144 pads rear
Rebuild kits front and rear calipers
Goodridge braided lines

I did a few trivial bits, removed headlight motor (need a new one)

And took off the rusty wiper arms, wire brushed (on a drill) back to bare metal, jenolite where needed, etch primer and a couple of coats of satin black paint :

Always think its the little details. Will pop to halfords tomorrow , trusty trade card at the ready and get 3 new wiper blades to replace the 7yr old(+) items.

looks good :)
i did that once but forgot to put primer and it rusted up again pretty quick lol

have you thought about the flat blade wipers?
such as flat blade wiper
(only suggesting as my fc wipers never stayed flat when wiping)

works much better than the old style wipers.
either that or the \'no wipers\' stuff you put on the windscreen works well on fc\'s.
2 doritos on a stick woohoo :rollin

Hi Liam,

Damnit, didnt catch your post in time and just bought 3 new Bosch aero blades.

Few new bits for her:

New pads front and rear (DS2500 Ferrodo)

Recaro Speeds, should offer a bit of support without looking to out of place, or too modified :

Also have 4 grooved Black diamond discs, goodridge braided lines, Dot 5 fluid and caliper rebuild kits front and back.

Hey buddy

They came out of my old car i broke for parts, a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, can pick you up a set if you like. They usually go for around £150.

I wasnt sure if theyd fit, so we tried them, and they \'just\' fit.

those seats bolt up with no adapters needed?

No you need a set of Recaro or Bride subframes, i have a friend in Japan who sent me some.

monterx7

did you notice if using the subframes and the new seats, does it set you up higher than stock?

I havent got them on there yet, however, the new subrames are sort of counter sunk, hard to describe, but it ends up making it so that the seats almost sit flush on the floor. Hopefully it works as im 6\'4 so dont have alot of room to play with !!

monterx7

and the final ? about the seats, different colors?

Er yes, but for some crazy reason the red ones go for £7-800 a pair, the greys go for £150 a pair. Seems mental to me as you could just recover a grey set. Also, if you end up with some with a worn drivers bolster, you can get new recaro bolsters for £30, takes 15mins to install (assuming seat is in car).

Monte, did you get my message regarding coming over an teaching me a bit about the car ?

monterx7

no i didnt....how/where did you send it

Ah maybe i posted it in a thread by mistake. I was just wondering if i covered yoru fuel/time expenses, if you would be ok to come over and teach me a bit about the car, maybe give me some pointers on the air pump removal and blocking of the bypass and stuff. Just feel so alien to these engines but really wanna get her sorted and running nice but also safe.
