Hi folks,

When it comes to Bovs and the air flow meter, am i right in thinking recirc only ideally ? Or not ?

Is the standard item up to the job , hoping to run just 10psi ?

I have a turbosmart dual port from my other car i sold, just wondered if its worth fitting it or worth selling if the OEM one is fine.

Standard is fine, somehow it is actually better IF it is a healthy one. People install BOV is mainly for the sound XD (including me).
I did tried a few on the RX7, greddy, blitz, Bailey. I found the Bailey is the best. hold boost great and the dual piston design is simple but efficient. wont have issues at traffic light unlike the greddy. but out of all it\'s the quietest as well.
If you are getting a 2nd hand BOV. you MUST take it apart or clean it. hope the info helps

edit: I have a Blitz BOV 2nd hand but cleaned already if you interested.

Thanks Louis, after 12 yrs of turbo cars, im nota fan of the noise, last 2 cars ivehad ive actually gone on the hunt for the oem item to replace an aftermarket. So thats good news. I like some of them, but the whooshy ones do my nut in.

just don\'t get a HKS ssqv or whatever its called. They\'re a nightmare and sound horrible.

If you want a nice sounding one the R2D2 is the best imo. Tbh I wouldn\'t bother installing one until you go front mount. You might need to get it welded into the pipes

i had the old school hks sqv (NOT ssqv) and that was good until some tuner managed to snap the little nipple where the vac pipe goes into it :(
been replaced with the ssqv now.

I like the look of the blitz bov the one that can have an air filter attachment to make it a little less obnoxious! :Giggle

Gona get my HKS SSQV III on the FC when I\'m back from China. let see if i can try all of them before i get sick of it ;)
