The units weigh a fair bit and will be expensive to send and return

have tried to remove a couple ending in disaster They tend to stick on the backend in the center

can you help

You need to persuade the central armarture rear bearing out from the bush contactors. Whacking it with a dead-blow mallet a bit at a time seemed to work for me. When you get the central spinny lump out you\'ll be able to get to the screws (three) that hold the copper windings and regulator/rectifier to the back plate (circled in red below)

You can\'t get to one of them without gently bending the windings out of the way (and even then the screwdriver has to go in at an angle)  but for God\'s sake don\'t break any of the wires because having to solder them back would probably heat-damage the sensitive electronic bits. Just take your time and be gentle haha

....btw, if you think getting it apart is hard, just wait till you try to get the fduker back together again hahahaha

The key to reassemble is the hole in the rear of the unit....You will need to poke a short pointy item through here... otherwise you will damage the brushes trying to ram the unit back together!

If you paint the parts...make sure you dont bung this up!
