Why does my PFC controller read the air temperature as a minus figure? Eg -35? Sometimes it doesn\'t read anything, just dots across the display. It does show the correct temp in positive figures at times but it is really annoying me with the changing readings.

Could it be a dodgy sensor?

My car is an FD.

no it shouldnt read figures in minus.

are you using the stock sensor or did you replace it for an aftermarket one?

if you look into the sensor and switches page you will see the \'ATMP\' one highlighted with either a 0 or +4V voltage reading. Does your heat light stay on a lot to indicate the failure? I need a new one as well as mine reads either -47 or +51°C!!!
