single turbo characteristics??

evening guys,
just a quick question which im sure can be answered by somebody quite easily
just bought a single turbo fd, ive already been told that it has a budget turbo but......
the hot side seems nearly twice as big as the cold side??
is this just a sign of a cheap turbo?
what characteristics would this give me? e.g quick spool etc

this could be just a small turbo with a big hotside. my "to4e" spec tub has a 1.15 hotside and .6 coldside. the hotside looks much bigger than cold side.
could be cheap as in price of small turbo compared to a big turbo.
