Hi,
I\'ve got a problem on my rx7.
When the car is cold, it starts normally and runs correctly but then we had some problems when the car is warmed driving or when we wanted to switch off the engine and start again.
We have changed all spark plugs, leads, and coil packs and this doesn\'t change anything.
Then we checked again the spark plugs and one of the spark plug doesn\'t make any spark ?
What could it be ?
The engine is safe (no smoke and comp test ok).
Cheers.

Have you checked all the wiring upto the coil packs?

weskereric

I\'ll ask the garage if they have checked, if not we will.
I\'ll post updates asap :)

RXSpeedy

Sounds to me like it may possiby be a short, as the car warms up the break in the wire becomes exposed shorting/arcing.

Take the coils out and see if any are arcing and also where the plug lead goes in see if it is corroded.Might be the plug leads too.

Carl

We have changed all the coipacks, spark and lead plugs, coil sub loom, ignitor and we still don\'t have spark on the top right plug.

The car seems to be repaired and it\'s back home. There were few loom wires cut or damaged :)
