basically i blew my engine, replaced it with a new one, new turbo and all that jaz...

anyway its all in (YAY) done every job that needed doing, chopped down the engine loom, etc now im pretty sure its all plugged back in but tomorrow im going to double check!

i thought i had an alarm issue so i had that removed today!

problem is put key in and the dash lights up etc... low coolant buzzer goes off after 30 secs ish... but there is no power to the ecu, (commander doesnt come on) turn the key and there is nothing! the starter wont turn etc not even a click from relays....

the alarm installers which were recomended on here did such a .... job!! hardly any of the wires were soldered!! just twisted and wrapped with tape!! oh and the wires from the alarm that tap in to the ignition wiring... were wrapped around the steering colum!!! so as you turned the wheel it got tighter and tighter! accident waiting to happen!!! im fuming about it!

so tomorrow im gonna remove the loom again then go through plugging it all in and check im not missing any connections... but does anyone have any ideas??? im seriously stressed and overly depressed over it all right now!

luckily dave hg said if im having no luck tomorrow i can get it trailored to his house and he will go through it all with me and get it working.... but obviously i would like to save him the hassle and me money doing it lol

anyone got any ideas???

This is really tough to diagnose, all I can say is to maybe try and leave it alone to clear your head for a couple of days then retrace every thing you did chopping down the loom,

Once clearer, If you want to find out if its just the starter circuit and nothing else, simply connect a wire to the small terminal on the starter then dab it onto a live feed and providing you have main power to the starter plus ignition lights it should start providing theres nothing else going on.

Hope this helps
All the best Clive

cheers clive... unfortunately i dont have a huge amount of time...

tomorrow im going to pull the engine loom out, and check all connections and earths and then plug it all back in making sure its all connected and try again! i will also try the starter jump and see if that has voltage going to it!
