so manged to get the LSD in yesterday and most of the new brake system, finished off the brakes today but i need another wheel spacer to finish the job, they still look small behind the 18\'s! also fitted the new mallory 4110 pump, although i cant get the pressure down below 10!
think i need 8mm return lines to match the feed so more work to be done!

I bet it cost a fortune to ship that over.
A few years back, I bought a complete GSL-SE power steering setup from the U.S..... steering column, box, pump, lines, everything.
Cost me an absolute arm to ship it over... it was bloody heavy....
I then found out that it couldn\'t be converted to use on a rhd car and ended up chucking it in a skip!

What\'s the advantage of a GSL-SE positraction over a MX5 diff?

mpk490p

i\'ve had it a while and can\'t honestly remember the cost but it was sub £100 shipped,
i do more drag racing then track and ive read the clutch ones hold up better then the torsion

finally got my extended studs through Friday so fitted them and took the car for a quick spin and a fill up, i have the ebc yellow pads and they take a while to warm up! need a good run to see how good the new set up is ;)

Hey mark are they bigger discs your running on the front?

Ive got a copy of the USA kit but dont want to go 5 stud as i believe it uses FC hubs..

mpk490p

yes TII discs and calipers front and rear, it wasn\'t a bolt on solution but in order to keep the 4 stud i got s4 hubs shipped from the US (they use the same calipers as our later s3 and 4 x 114.3) Billy at Re-speed let me ship the hubs to him then i had them and the conversion kit sent over as one to save on shipping, i just got the 3 extra holes drilled on the discs, because i have bump steer spacers i had to use a spacer behind the front discs and space out the caliper bracket to suit, i then had to put a extra spacer on the disc to get the wheel clearance i needed, you will also need extended studs (i have some ARP-100-7708\'s that were fitted then taken off again!, due to the extra spacer i needed the longest ones they did!) if you are running without the bump steers the disc should sit back on the hub but i would check all you measurements before you start the job

MOT all done for another year no problems or rust anywhere ;)
i spotted this whilst in the test station, i know the guy really well there so i pointed it out, a few minutes later he can back and said ....els are now exempt from 87 back so just a visial test this year ;)

borgue
