Yeah my father Fintan owns the car in question (FKJ 419V)
 Location is County Kerry in Munster.

Amazing there are only two still running!
Ill have a look around to be sure, but was the orange TWR racecar driven by Win Percy at some stage in the BTCC a series one? I saw that at a show in the NEC a few years back almost certain its still knocking about.

I remember Win Percy steaming around Brands in the 1980\'s. Stangely they were going the opposite direction to Touring Cars today.
I haven\'t seen the car you mention but will keep an eye out. I assume it\'s laid up somewhere. I\'ll note it as a probable SORN or Project car (for want of a better title).

 just been checking how long ago I looked at JAZ and was surprised it was about 6 years ago, probably account for the deterioration if the owner had lost interest in the car.

hi Dave - sorry not replied sooner but been very busy and having lots of probs with computer.  Wow 6 years - how time flies. From what I have found out \'JAZ\' hadn\'t done that many miles in the interim time (500 miles the last year it was roadworthy) - current mileage 60854 ms.  Don\'t get me wrong, \'JAZ\' has mostly needed tlc rather than major surgery even though she has displayed the normal signs of \'rust monkeys\' in the floor pan under the rear seats and the rear outer and inner sills.  I took out the rusted areas and have inserted stainless steel and after necessary preventative treatment fully welded up.  The majority of my work is preventative maintenance as I thought do it all now rather than having to do it again next year.  Nearly finished the underside - just replaced rear shock absorbers today and refurbished petrol tank should be put back next week I hope.  When I eventually get this computer working properly I will post fotos for all to see.  Cliff

Hmmm....How to get the Reg without dialing a mobile? Might wait and see what develops with it.

I\'ve previously noted an \'83 Blue on SORN in roughly that Area; trouble is that it didn\'t make a £1500 reserve on ebay last year......so not likely to be that one.

because people are under the false impression that the parts are valuable and they\'ll make a killing by breaking it rather than selling it complete.
Trouble is, there are hardly any 1st gens left, there\'s no demand for the parts and after he\'s stripped it, he\'ll be left with a load of bits he can\'t shift and then they\'ll end up being binned. Meanwhile, another 1st gen is gone forever.
