Right as you can see from the title I at a lose end with the fuel line problems I have.

As some of you know I have a dual pick up system in the tank of my car, one pick up on the left side and one on the right. The purpose of this is to eliminate fuel surge.

I managed to source 10mm fuel hose that is resistant to being submerged in fuel and have used this to connect to the remote filters. So both these pipes have to connect to a t-piece which then connects to the pump

My problem is that the pump adapter I have, makes the standard M18x1.5 bosch inlet fitting into a 15mm push on barb union. Now I can get hold of a 12mm adapter but was told that anything under 15mm will make the pump inefficient.

So in the rush to get the car ready, I bought a 13mm t-piece and 13mm fuel hose and some 10mm to 13mm fuel adapters, you see where this is going right?

I connected this all up with a bit of hose stretching, and It worked well, however I knew that the 13mm pipe was not designed to be submerged and therefore would need to be replaced frequently. Now its been 1 month since I set this all up and I though I would check the condition of the pipe and its not looking good, all the the 13mm pipe is falling apart and its a complete fail:(:(:(.

So this is where I need some Help.

I need to figure a way out of connecting the two 10mm pipes to the bottom of the pump at the same time as not reducing the inlet to the pump below 15mm.

Now I have spent a bit of time on the Earls.co.uk website and my head it really hurting (maybe from inhaling too much fuel fumes). Essentially I want a t-piece that has an M18x1.5 male, and then two 10mm barbs, now I know this is not going to be in one piece and any variation of parts will do, just need it to be fuel tight. there may be a simple answer of finding some 13 or 15mm submersible fuel hose but I have looked and cannot find :(

Found this to give inspiration to my mad rambling, shame its the wrong size

Hopefully I have not confused any of you and would seriously value any help. there could be some serious beer tokens in it for the person who solves this.

thanks for your time !!

Is the problem just that you can\'t find 15mm internal diameter fuel hose, Dale :3Confused? Got a bit lost in your description then :o

Surely any nitrile lined hose will do wouldn\'t it? Or am I missing something?

I was slightly dissapointed that "Hose World" wasn\'t "Ho\'s World" but never mind :Giggle

Sorry about the description being a bit poor (must be the fumes , I have tried hose like that if you see in the description of the hose SAE J30R6 the R6 describes its resistance to be submerged, and this is the same level of resistance I used in the tank and it fell apart, So essentially not too resistant on the outside..

To give the comparison, the stuff that i know can be submerged has a rating of R8

thanks anyways buddy

Why not get a 10mm double male and weld it to your 15mm fitting?
Also do you have some kind of valve at the other end of the 10mm hoses?
If you need it welded gives a shout.

Yes on the end of the 10mm hose their is a valve that shuts when no fuel is present, so if the fuel all goes to one side of the tank the one that has no fuel shuts off allowing the pump to suck fuel from the other. :wiggle

Thank you very much for the offer of welding it, if it gets to that I will give you a shout, one question can you weld brass to aluminium or would I have to buy all new fittings of the same type ??

Need to be the same type mate.
Do you have a phone number and I will phone you from a hose place tomorrow to see if you still need this?
