Thanks, its the inlet & outlets that are different but fittings are the same right?

Brett

Fitting is the same as far as I can recall :)

bumpstart

there was three different radiator styles fitted throughout the FC lifespan
( not including the variations of all three of those subtypes which have the automatic transmission cooler pipes in the bottom tank of the radiator )

the radiator change also includes a re-arrange of the overflow bottle type and position,, and also of the position of the "smart" sprung cap and the "dumb" filler cap for the cooling system

either 6p and turbo versions can be fitted with either system, though RHD s4 turbo models often fall into the second sub category
i believe mainly due to most of the initial turbo production runs being used for purely japanese domestic production, and exports mostly being in the later production run

----------

originally , and common to most early 6 port models is a bay mounted overflow bottle that is fed from a "smart" cap ( pressure relief, sprung cap ) that is mounted remotely on a hose,, fed from a pipe off the top of the radiator top tank

the "dumb" cap,, ( filler cap, unsprung ) is on top of the thermostat neck pipe, highest point in the system

there is no radiator cap directly on the radiator in this system

-------
later,, s4 cars had a radiator revision,, and the overflow bottle changes shape and moves in front of the radiator
the radiator is revised and the fill point ( and dumb cap ) is added to the radiator top tank, whilst the smart cap and overflow point move up to the top of the thermoneck pipe
- many turbo s4 cars will have this variation,, exported turbo RHD versions usually being later production by many months
finally,, in the very last months of production,, some models will have copped the s5 style water pump and 3 bolt plastic thermostat neck and radiator change pre-empting s5 introduction

----------
all s5 cars have the full revision, with the radiator with different mounting points and the long spout fill neck added to the radiator
( distinct from the s4 revised radiator which has the cap directly on the top tank )
as well as the later water pump,, and 3 bolt plastic thermo neck and FD like thermostat
