Has anyone had this happen?
Took the car S5 T2 JDM for a drive today with the RE-a ecu pluged in to see how it went all fine it accually started and ran smoother a lot more power on boost.
was driving on the motorway uphill at about 90 and boost just kicking in when I notaced the temp going up so I backed off and the temp returned to normal, when I pulled up to check if the coolent level was ok the overflow tube on the top up bottle had spat water everywhere but the bottle was only full to the min level.
Every thing seems fine with the engine as it didn\'t over heat.
Any ideas
Cheers

could be an air bubble in the system, but the system is designed to push extra into the expansion tank and drag it back under vaccuum when the system cools.  It\'s possible someone has put the coolant bottle cap pipes the wrong way round.

I\'ll check the pipes on the expansion tank, if it was an air bubble would that explain the temp rise the gauge went up about 1/4 of an inch

If the air bubble was in the rear iron - it could be.

Probably a good idea to check for leaks - just in case - if air is getting in you could run low on coolant.

I had an air bubble in the system, caused by a leaking heater matrix hose on the block, massive panic when the coolent buzzer went off lol will only leak when the water pressure is increased like going up a hill or higher RPMs

yea I did panic abit, I don\'t think it had any thing to do with re-a ecu the car was going alot beter and it seemed to boost beter aswell.
