Hungry for a bit more power

Well I have tried to be grateful for what I have got with my EGI, but unfortunately I can\'t stop thinking about making the car a bit quicker :)
Now that my brakes are working well, and I am happy with overall handling of the car, I am now looking at my options for more power.

1st option is to change the manifold for either a racing beat one, or something custom made at JM garage.  I understand that with this I am looking at 190 tops.

My only issue with this is, that I can quite easily see myself getting to this point, liking it for a bit and then wanting a bit more anyway.  So rather than spend a load of money and then not been happy, I thought I might as well consider going a bit further, albeit at much greater cost.

Porting the NA is one option but I am kind of interested in using a supercharger.  Does anyone have any experience of using one on the FC around here?

I know that taking a TII engine and extras would probably be a better option financially, but I would like to explore other options first.

Would my best bet be to talk to someone at Haywards, and then go from there?

Thanks for any advice / info

ah my old egi!!

tbh if you want more power easily. the best route is to just buy a TII. If you want to do an engine transplant on your car you\'ll pretty much need to buy an entire TII anyway. Supercharging looks like a great option. I\'d love to do that.

Also, you\'d have to be pretty darn good to see 190 out of a 13b 6 port without porting

Cheers guys, I will have a look at that SC video over lunch.
190 was just a figure I had seen on a few other threads whilst searching for info.  But that does confirm to me that I will be going down a different route.  Car by the way is mainly for track use and weekend fun :)

Thanks

if thats the case. It might be an idea to save as much weight as possible. That doesn\'t cost as much and its just as effective

Already on that case.  Rear interior is out and all carpet etc is out.  Just about to start scraping sound proofing stuff off, and a bucket seat is going in where I sit to save that little bit extra and also give me some support.  The Enkeis I put on are also fairly light weight wheel, so there was some saving there.  So far taken 50kg out of the car (including spare wheel :) )

Cheers for the suggestion anyway :)

Cheers :)
Just looking around at prices for various superchargers, and also to find someone to fit it.  Just waiting on some info from TTS at silverstone as the price for the Rotrex kit doesn\'t seem to bad IMO.  Secret sock draw supercharger fund has now begun ;)
