Fitting a new flywheel as part of an Exedy clutch kit today.. wondered if anyone knew the torque settings.. did v quick search but time is money yadaydad.. and i need to crack on lol.

FlikstRR

also wondering if the standard counterweight will be ok to use with the exedy clutch

the flywheel should be torqued to 300 flt lbs,   or do it to 150 ft lbs and then turn it another 60 degrees,  ie, mark a point of the fw nut on the flywheel and turn it until the next point on the nut lines up with the mark.

If you have an FD engine, then you need a stock FD Auto counter weight.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

i have an fc engine (mainly).. but the clutch is for/from and FD.. inc flywheel i think...

im so confused lol. I was told FD clutch fits directly.. so im to assume with an FD fly/clutch im gonna need an FD counterweight... time to get on the hunt!

The dimensions / mountings etc are the same - but the FD is a pull Clutch and the FC a push type.  Aren\'t you going to need a push type pressure plate for it to work ?

aaaah  wait.. thats the confusion..  it was from an RX-8! Pete barber had it in when he used the renesis box..  then went back to an FD box..

The rx-8 must be a Push type. :)
