What products or method should I use to clean the clear plastic covers ?

I\'ve used fast glass by Auto Glym and warm soapy water but they still end up cloudy !

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Clean it first with cold water, dry it and apply glass polish. Thats what i would do.

No bother with mine, just use normal car wash stuff, or has your plastic covers perished and gone milky instead of clear?
You could try some fine polish or some AutoGlum paint renovator (has a very fine Ally powder in it), depends how deeply set the milking looks?

Test it on the fixing lip first to see how aggressive the polishing pastes are!

Sorry not much help am I, i\'ll shut up now!:Talking1

Thanks.
No the lenses are not milky.
I\'ve removed them from the light assemblies as the outside has been cleaned, thinking it was the inside that had a thin film of dirt inside.
Maybe its just my poor method of cleaning lol

Ill keep trying.
Thanks for your advice.

I think there is some stuff that lots of skylines use, I think its a meguiers plastic polish, apparently skyline headlights go yellow a lot, and this brings it back to clear again.

I\'ve used the stuff that cleans rear plastic windows like the early MX5\'s and also a polish called \'Mirror Image\', this polish is great!

Thanks for the advice guys.

Just to let you know, I called in at Halfuds but no plastic cleaner, only glass cleaner.

So, with a little caution, I cleaned a corner of one cover with solvol chrome cleaner paste. Very light pressure in large circles.

I can report that its made at least a 50% improvement !

So, with a little time, I guess I can get them crystal clear again.
