Well does enyone know a place that does remaps and good at engine work? thats in the north?:3Confused is rice rockets no good for remaps?

Nobody can map your original ECU so you will need a programmable one such as a PFC

I had all my service and diagnosis work done by the Garage. At the time they remapped my PFC however it was with Mark as the driver and a former forum colleague who completed the mapping.

On my second RX7 I used WGT for the mapping. Wouldn\'t go to anyone else for that job now. I\'m hoping to return to the scene shortly and I\'ll continue to use The Garage, with the exception of mapping

Hmmm, so i see that most of the good places for mapping seem to all be in England! Would be better to put it somewhere that could to the remaping and try and find the problem so it doesnt have to be moved about, because im thinking of getting it down on a lorry. I was going to put it all the way down to jimmys but he says they dont do remaps or tuning, and if i get a pfc i would want someone that knows what there dong to set it up for the mods on the car!:yes But either way its going to cost a fortune!! because no one knows whats wrong with it:3Confused

Well to be fair you haven\'t tried very hard mate - you\'re on the Mazda Rotary Club forum and there are hundreds of people on here who can help you diagnose problems!

One thing you need to get used to with Rotary ownership up North, its good to be handy with a socket set - if you have to revert to a garage every time you get a little problem it\'ll cost you £££.  Garages that don\'t know rotaries well can take hours just to realise a vac hose has popped off - you can spend hundreds for something that WGT, Reworx, Hayward etc. would have spotted straight away and fixed for 10 minutes labour.

Start a new thread in General Technical with your symptoms and someone\'ll probably be able to sort you out.

I was on the worldwide club and tried few things such as spark plugs/secondary injectors/all the vaccum pipes have been replaced/fuel filters/ecu been tested/fault code test/compression test/ and a few other things so i have tried and if enyone has eny other ideas im happy to try!

Hi mate, i havnt used him yet but iv been told about a guy called Ricky Gauld that bases himself in Hunly, Aberdeenshire is willing to map rotaries. He has a web site,http://www.rickygauld.co.uk/ i was pointed towards him by a guy thats had 20  years experience with rotaries.

A mate of mine has had a bad experience with rice rockets with his s14, it went along the lines of; after signing an agreement that the engine would be rebuilt within 3 months...after 5-8 months the engine was still in bits and it came to the point where my mate ended up pulling the car from there and putting it some where else.
But i havnt used them myself.

Just phoned the guy and he doesnt work with rx7s he says so, dont know where to put it!?:3Confused

misinformation there,
I give McC the wrong information or misunderstood my word.

Ricky\'s very good on Piston-engined tuning and need help about rotary which he\'ve not got the knowlege.
Myself give Ricky the guiding hand how to tune the N/A rotary-engine.
I\'m afraid,that\'s Scotland to you.  there\'s nothing there for rotary-turbo engined!

So wheres the best place to go south? haywood north? I was going to take it to jimmys rx7, but he says they dont do eny remaps or tuning there so it would be good to put it somewhere that did macanical work and the tuning. Where do i put it hmmmm?:3Confused
