I nabbed Prof\'s convertable aluminium one, I still have my OEM lead/uranium based coupe bonnet in the garage :rollin

An awful lot of the TII\'s have also been retro fitted with cab bonnets :yes

Now that reminds me... time for another thread...

if you can pick it up with one hand its alloy. Those steel ones are dam heavy and a huge noticeable difference. The alloy one I swear is as light as some CF ones.

Well when its on the car, lifting it to put the stay on and it seems heavy. But lifting it off the car and it felt light, lol.

Does it bend the bonnet strut thingy? My coupe one does/did

papercutout

The bonnet strut is already bent :p

Yeah but does it bend down even further when you rest the bonnet on it? :rollin

its not strictly a cab thing,, at least in jap/aus markets
alum bonnet usually denotes infini spec
i have a bonnet out the back,, alum ,, and its clearly labeled N318A on the service sticker
N318 is the original code for jap /aus T2 s4 rx7,, not a cab number
-- i also have the steel jap bonnet on my rx7,, this one marked N318
( sans the A )

if you have the A prefix after the build code on that service sticker,, you have an alum bonnet

ps
i also suspect US GTU spec is also alum bonnet
( most aussie delivered cars are GXL spec and will be steel unless infini  )

and no,, alum bonnet is not for sale,, its in aus and needs a few dents worked on
( which is why i have the steel one on the car = easier to repair )

G@NDY

Many thanks for that, it really helped. Mine is the N318A :)
